Elite

The Elite is the rightly-named starship of the Crossover solid-body fleet.  I may have to shop for weeks to find the most distinct grain available for this model, but it's always worth it!  The use of extra maple and walnut stripes in the body along with the wildest grain I can find combine to make these worthy of gold hardware and the name; Elite.

Sometimes I find grain with a knot or two at just the right place, or maybe it's a very distinct black grain running through the center of the wood.  Whatever the particular character may be, it has to leap out when the nitrocellulose lacquer hits it.  Eye catching beauty is the goal here.

The wiring follows the standard pattern for Crossover guitars:

• Bridge humbucker alone
• Split-coils, inner coils in parallel
• Split-coils, outer coils in parallel
• Split-coils, outer coils in series
• Neck humbucker alone

The back of the Elite must be as eyecatching as the front.  This details the method of making the back plates blend into the finish and scheme of the guitar - a treatment seldom found on even more expensive instruments.
